Privacy Policy

1. About this policy

This policy explains how the iOS app Weigh Day ("the app", "we", "us") handles information. Weigh Day is a show-season barn book for young livestock exhibitors raising a market steer, hog, lamb or meat goat for a county fair, and for their parents.

2. Information we collect

None. Weigh Day does not collect any data. The app has no account system and no sign-in. It does not send your animals, weigh-ins, feed records, ledger entries, photos, or any other information to us or to anyone else.

3. Data stored on your device

Everything you enter is stored only on your device, in a local database and in the app's own files. That includes:

• Animals, shows and class weight windows
• Weigh-ins, gain charts and projections
• Feed log entries, rations and feed costs
• Project ledger entries (purchase, feed, vet, supplies, expected sale price)
• Daily chores, walk timer history, show-day checklists and drug-withdrawal records
• Photo diary images
• Saved links
• Ribbons (achievements) and app settings

We cannot see, access, or recover any of this information.

4. Analytics, advertising and tracking

Weigh Day contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind, and no third-party SDKs. The app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

5. Camera and photo library

Weigh Day asks for camera access only when you choose to take a photo for the photo diary. It uses your photo library only when you pick a photo to add. The photo you take or pick is copied into the app's private storage on your device. The app does not browse, scan, or upload your photo library, and you can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

6. Notifications

Weigh Day uses local notifications only for chore, weigh-in and drug-withdrawal reminders. They are scheduled on your device, and only after you turn on a reminder. No push notification service is used and no notification content is sent anywhere. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.

7. Saved links and the in-app web view

You can save links, such as your fair's premium book, entry pages, or extension feeding guides, and open them in an in-app web view. The web view loads only the pages you choose. Those websites are run by third parties and have their own privacy practices. They may set cookies or collect information inside the web view under their own policies. We don't control those sites and receive nothing from them. Please review the privacy policy of any website you visit.

8. Sharing and exports

You can share a project summary or record-book totals using the iOS share sheet. Sharing only happens when you start it, and you choose where the content goes (for example Messages, Mail, Files, or a printer). Once shared, that content is handled by the app or service you picked.

9. Children's privacy

Weigh Day is designed for youth exhibitors, typically ages 9 to 18, working alongside a parent or guardian. Because the app collects no data at all, it does not gather personal information from children. There are no accounts, profiles, chat features, ads, or tracking.

We built the app this way to be consistent with the goals of the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): no personal information from children is collected, used, or disclosed by us. Parents are welcome to review the app with their child and can delete all of its data at any time as described below.

10. Data retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device until you remove it. You can:

• Use Barn → Settings → Erase this season in the app to delete a season's records.
• Delete individual animals, entries, photos and links inside the app.
• Delete the app, which removes all of its data from your device.

If you use iCloud or computer backups for your device, iOS may include the app's on-device data in those backups. Those backups are managed by Apple and by you, not by us.

11. Security

Because your information never leaves your device through Weigh Day, it is protected by your device's own security, such as your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and iOS data protection. We recommend keeping a passcode set on any device used for the app.

12. Your rights

Privacy laws in some places, such as the GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA, give you rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a company holds about you. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. You control all of your data directly on your device.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above. If a future version of the app ever changes how data is handled, we will update this policy before that version is released.
